Family Max Volunteer Hour Requirements

With this update, you can now set a maximum volunteer hour and buyout limit per family! This allows you to cap the total required volunteer hours and buyout amounts for families with multiple participants, both within the same or different programs and seasons.

Important: For family limits to apply correctly, the same user account must register all participants.

When creating or editing a season, you’ll see a new setting called Family Volunteer Requirements. Selecting 'yes' for the setting Enable Max Family Hours? will prompt additional required fields.

1. Max Required Hours/Family: The total number of volunteer hours required for all participants in a single family.
2. Enable Max Family Buyout?: The maximum dollar amount a family would pay if selecting the buyout for each player.
3. Is the maximum shared with other seasons?: This setting allows you to share these maximums across different programs and seasons.

Example: If a family has children participating in different programs, the volunteer hours and buyout maximums can apply across both seasons.

Volunteer requirements are still configured within season pricing, and you must continue to assign required hours to each price as usual.

However, the previous “once per family per season” checkbox will no longer appear. Instead, you’ll see a link directing you back to Season Settings to manage family limits there.

When a family registers multiple participants with volunteer requirements, the family maximum will be respected as long as the same user account is used to register each participant.

If you choose to share family limits across seasons, the volunteer requirement will automatically be applied to the selected seasons and can only be modified from the original season where it was created.
